Steamed Meat Patty

1 lap cheong
1 asian pear
1 lb ground pork
½ cup chinese mushrooms

2 tsp cornstarch
½ tsp white pepper
Pinch of turmeric
Pinch of coriander
Pinch dried ginger
1 Tbsp. cooking wine
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 Tbsp. water
1 tsp sesame oil
½ two salt

Mince lap cheung, Asian pear, and mushrooms. Mix with ground pork.

Mix seasoning together and add to pork mixture.

Place into a shallow metal pan (about 10˝ diameter).

Bring water to boil in a wok, place a trivet or metal lift. Steam for 15-20 minutes or until done.

 

NOTE: The Asian pear is for moisture. You can substitute water chestnuts or jicama.
